he was deliberate when he captured her heart
placing it in a safe vessel
he paced alongside
to ensure safe transport
little did he know
that the history
of the heart
would capture the new soul
with every beat
this soul was revived
with every breath
another moment was greeted
heart rhythms capturing
the rich, fluid veins
pumping into renewed life
how a merge of souls
can be connected
making more of a life
once solitary
alone and now never lonely
the thoughts
the beats
the muscle memory
how could this be so
how could it not be so
why would you not want it to be so
