Hear the Whispers in the Wind

Hear the whispers in the wind

they still say your name.

Not like a prayer. Like a wound.

We were never gentle. not even once.

You loved like fire, I answered with ash.

The walls remember us.

Cracks where we leaned too close,

The doors that slammed,

on things we never said.

I walk the path we burned

it never healed.

Your breath is in the trees.

Mine stays silent.

the wind…the wind remembers

It remembers everything.

It wasn’t fate. It was a curse

we wrote in skin, signed in silence.

You said forever like a dare.

I kissed you like I wanted to vanish.

Now the night feels like you

not warm, but waiting.

Sometimes, when the air shifts,

I turn around too fast

still expecting your shadow.

And when I dream, you come back,

same eyes, but colder. Same hands,

but they pass right through.

You never left, not really.

You’re stitched between each breath

and the ones I choke on.

They say time buries all things,

they never loved a ghost with a heartbeat.

So let the wind keep whispering.

Let it carry what’s left of us.

I won’t answer, However I will listen.

Hear the whispers of the wind of us two.
