Headache

A Poem About the Headaches I Used to Suffer a Lot With

By GARY DEANPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

I have another headache

Take another pill

It hurts to move

So I stay and lie still

I get into the shower

Try and drown the pain

It's like dirt in your head

I need rid of the stain

I’m on my knees

Can't take it no more

I pray for some ease

Cos it hurts to the core

Try a heat pack

To the back of the neck

Try to relax

It's time for high tech

Put on some headphones

Blank it with music

Stop all the moans

Sound therapy, I'll use it.

Time moves on

And the pain subsides

The intensity is gone

Now I open my eyes

I am still tired

Cos it's still early hours

Go back to bed

And sleep becomes ours.
