He Woke Up Dead Inside His Head

He woke up dead inside his head,

A hollow echo in his bed.

The dawn crept in, a silent thief,

Stealing hope, but leaving grief.

The mirror’s stare, a vacant glare,

A ghost of thoughts too numb to care.

Each step a weight, each breath a lie,

A quiet scream the morning sky.

His mind, a maze of broken threads,

A restless storm that softly spreads.

He walks the world, but drags his shade,

A soul forgotten, dimmed, and frayed.

He walks the world, but drags his shade,

A soul forgotten, dimmed, and frayed.

The battles rage, though none can tell.

The silent scars of mental health.
