This experience was unsettling at the time, though not overtly frightening. It occurred about 30 minutes ago and still leaves me feeling uneasy. As background, I'm a 15-year-old girl who goes everywhere with my mom.

The day started normally - I woke up and went downstairs to play a game with my sister. After about 30 minutes, my older sister came down to get ready for a movie date. I love going for rides if I have my headphones, so I got ready to tag along.

After dropping my sister off, my mom said we'd stop at the library to return some books. I asked if she'd go in and grab me something from the teen section. Inside, some other people were browsing, so I waited outside, not wanting to crowd them.

Eventually they left, so I went in alone. After 10 minutes of perusing, I suddenly felt compelled to turn around. My stomach dropped - a 16-18 year old guy was standing there, just watching me, not even pretending to browse. When he saw me notice him, he quickly left. I don't know how long he was there, but it disturbed me.

I never even heard him enter or leave, despite the noisy door. I tried to keep looking through books, but kept glancing back, seeing him peer in and edge closer whenever I did. Each time I noticed him, he'd hurry away.

Feeling very uncomfortable, I grabbed a random book and rushed to find my mom. We checked out and left without any further sight of him, but I remain unsettled as I write this. To the young man who watched me - let's not meet again.
