He was the only one

Leaving behind an ache, a wounded heart. I search for his touch in the empty air, Longing for a love that was once so fair.

He was the only one

a void appears,
A love so pure, now drowned in tears.
He was the one who cared and understood,
A love so profound, now lost for good.

His love was a shelter in life's raging storm,
A haven of solace, a love so warm.
He held my hand through the darkest of nights,
His presence alone filled my days with light.

His words were a melody, soothing and sweet,
His love was a symphony, complete.
In his arms, I found comfort and peace,
A love so rare, destined not to cease.

But fate played its hand, and we had to part,
Leaving behind an ache, a wounded heart.
I search for his touch in the empty air,
Longing for a love that was once so fair.

Oh, how I miss his tender embrace,
His laughter, his smile, his gentle grace.
He was the one who loved me true,
And losing him is something I never wanted to do.

Yet, in the echoes of our love's sweet refrain,
I'll cherish the memories, despite the pain.
For he taught me to love, to feel and to grow,
And even in loss, that's something I'll always know.

So I'll gather the fragments of a love now lost,
And carry them with me, no matter the cost.
For he was the one who cared and loved me true,
And in my heart, his love will forever renew.
