Have You Heard of the Men of Funai?

A Ballad in Five Limericks

Have you heard of the men of Funai

Who loved to eat strawberry pie?

When their doctor suggests

They eat just a bit less,

They agreed they were willing to try.

So, those silly old men from Funai

Switched to rhubarb for part of their pie.

And they said, “Since, that’s less

Of this strawberry mess,

To our doctor we’ll not have to lie.”

Well those hungry old men of Funai,

With their strawberry rhubarb for pie,

They enjoyed so much more,

Even more than before,

Feared to doctor they’d still have to lie.

‘Til those crafty old men of Funai,

Decided, “We will not cut up the pie!

And so, of the pieces,

We eat less, so we says.”

And so, we still don’t have to lie.”

Ah, those lusty old men of Funai

Digging into their wonderful pie,

Where each pie is a piece,

They became so obese,

All their Doc could say, “Oh well, I tried.”

Awesome! You made a full, bona fide story out of a stack of limericks. That was impressive and fun Randy!
