Have You Ever Met Someone You Knew Right Away Was Perfect for You

Going down in sure bliss—not all things are what they seem

Her breast rubbed against the naked skin of my arm

causing my arms to tingle in alarm.

I wondered what she was thinking as I gazed into her eyes,

which sparkled like two crustless blackberry pies.

Those deep, dark eyes looked up into mine as she coyly licked her lips

Was this a love-at-first-sight with which I must come to grips?

She stared at me as if she had an unanswered question

Would there be another joyride like this session?

We’d never met…we’d never spoken

here we were going down together—would my heart be broken?

Alas, there might never be an answer as the doors slid shut...

Her going out of the elevator left me in a loveless rut.
