Will it ever go away?
Will it ever ease?
It’s all I can do but breathe.
Each step, each motion, a world awakens from the dead.
Exhumation granted.
The shiver that refused to leave.
All other parts happy indeed.
A drenching rain continuously fell for days to come, unsettling years of collected dust.
Not even a real touch could grant as much pleasure as one could possibly obtain.
It was barely the whisper of a name.
The distance seemed so long, so small, Only the sky had always been the same above.
The long lines had been distorted, right down to the brain.
Yet the stars slipping off above, delicately piled on a dresser, seemed to fix it once and for all.
The mirrors had been covered, it wasn’t a trick of the light.
It will no longer haunt you in the middle of the night.
I checked under the bed, not a monster in sight.
Regret? Definitely.
Desire? Long.
The closets, no vacancy, no room for skeletons.
Unable to look, in fear of what might be there.
It didn’t matter, it had been there all along.
Loud, louder now.
The rope taunting, the walls begging.
Every part screaming stop debating.
