Happy Easter List Poem

Sunday best clothing

Parents hiding pastel Easter eggs

Egg dye fingertips

Recipes reread

Timers created

Ovens set

Church bells swinging in the cool breeze

Bing, bong, bing, bong

Excited giggles echo throughout the town square

Crowds of parishioners entering God’s home

Hellos and warm greetings from young and old

Prayers said, songs sang

Return home for a homecooked meal

Honey baked ham

Rack of a leg of lamb

Garlic mashed potatoes

Creamy spinach

Hot sourdough rolls

Medley of spring veggies swimming in butter

Asparagus

Carrots

Peas

Cupcakes with colorful crowns of rich, velvety frosting

Carrot

Chocolate

Vanilla

Family and friends holding hands, giving thanks

To another joyous Easter day.

A time for the renewal of faith, hope, and new beginnings

Happy Easter!
