To be honest, I've been quite a shit.
There's no poetry here, I've just been shit.
I've fussed, and I've cussed,
Turned your love into dust,
I kept you from being happy and productive.
Is it too late? Did I miss a due date?
Does true love expire, does it break like a twig?
Could I tape it back up? I'll make duct tape from love,
And then we can carry on to be happy and productive.
I blindly fought monsters and only hurt myself.
Another sorry sack for me to dwell in.
But your pain's made me wiser,
I have to turn my shit into fertilizer,
And for you I will be happy and productive.
