Crouching on a thin pier
Drown out the fear
Skim along the water edge
Love, don’t you dare jump off the ledge
I want to hear the musicality of your voice
I want to be your best and happiest choice
When passing smiling ships flash by
Remind me why
You cherish my very core and soul
I sometimes worry I take a tired toll
Tell me that I’m not too much for you to handle
I fidget my foot in my sandal
The sun touches the top of my head
And I say goodbye for now as it feels like enough has been said
