Hands embraced and walking slow,

Deeper into the woods they go.

Evil stepmother left them here,

In hopes that soon they'd be ensnared.

Cold, tired, and hungry from walking,

They came upon a Ginger House so mocking.

And when they rang the gumdrop bell,

An old woman appeared, the spawn of Satan himself.

She took them in and to their surprise,

Gave them chocolates, goodies and delicious pie.

Fatter and fatter they became, until at last -

The correct weight was amassed.

She told them then -

"THIS IS THE END".

A large empty plate on the table did lay,

And she beckoned them over with a crooked finger - so gray.

Hours later her stomach was swollen;

Her hunger was satisfied

By the lives she had stolen.
