Handle Me Carefully

Some hearts bruise more easily than others.

By Ruth DPublished 2 months ago Updated 2 months ago 1 min read

The amount of tears I shed because of you,
every time you break me in two.
Why are your words so cruel?
I go to sleep crying,
only because you started fighting with me.

Please, don’t fight with me.
Show me you love me.
I’m starting to feel it,
I see it in different forms,
your love for me,
it’s almost like a storm.

Please, listen to my words.
Don’t make me repeat myself,
or constantly plead my case.
I know I’m a lot to handle,

so please, handle me carefully.

My heart and soul are delicate.
You’re not like anyone I’ve ever met,
and that’s how you know,
I’ll love you forever.
