In the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, nestled among towering pines and whispering streams, there existed a small cabin. This cabin was home to an elderly woman named Eliza, who had spent her entire life among the wonders of nature. Every morning, Eliza would step onto her creaky wooden porch, breathing in the crisp mountain air as the sun painted the sky with hues of pink and gold.As the seasons danced around her, Eliza found solace in the ever-changing landscape. In spring, she marveled at the delicate blossoms that adorned the trees like confetti, and listened to the symphony of birdsong that filled the air. The scent of wildflowers tickled her nose, and she couldn't help but smile at the sight of newborn fawns taking their first tentative steps in the meadow.But it was in the embrace of summer that Eliza truly felt alive. She would wander through the forest, her bare feet sinking into the soft carpet of moss as shafts of sunlight filtered through the canopy above. A Digital Pandemic.
After a long day in the department, Emily dropped her worn and tired dark leather bag on the counter before navigating through the small and disordered kitchen to grab a cold beer from a contrarily empty fridge. She hadn't had a chance to unpack since moving from Newcastle to Glasgow, let alone shop for sustenance, except for cold brews naturally.
