Green Eyes, a Jealous Heart,

Jealousy that hurts and wounds

Green Eyes, a Jealous Heart.

Green eyes, a jealous heart, your love a mock,

You wrapped it in promises, but they never unlocked.

I saw the glint, the hunger in your stare,

Like you wanted to own me, but never to care.

Each word you spoke felt like a quiet betrayal,

Your love a game where I was set to fail.

You claimed my heart, but only to discard,

A mocking dance, leaving me scarred.

I learned to read the lies beneath your smile,

To stay guarded, yet still love you for a while.

But green eyes showed a thirst that never quenched,

And your love, a trick, where trust was drenched.

I gave what I could, but it was never enough,

You fed on my weakness, on my love so tough.

Now I see the truth, through the cracks in your shell,

A heart that could never love, a love from hell.

Green eyes, a jealous heart, your love a mock,

But I’m done with the games and the endless clock.

No more will I chase what was never mine,

I’ll heal from the lies, let the past unwind.
