Green envy

A poem inspired by Poppy's Prompt

If actions were words

They would faithfully implode.

Our crossroads collided with green envy.

Crunchy spills of Tokaji wine,

Sauska of old summer vibes.

Greener grapes are what you keep aiming for,

Never content with yourself.

*

If feelings were loud

They would break mirrors.

The insane screeching of hidden desires.

Instead of the freshness of spring,

you breathe fire.

Instead of indulging in harmony,

you shout spires.

*

Green is the color of guilt and jealousy, ambition and tiredness,

masked by various other emotions within.

Please change the green,

Come back to your senses and just be.

You don't need to show off belongings and plans,

Stop comparing thy everything to others',

From peace comes content.

No green for the reckless, no color of choice.

Green is for envy and you cannot scheme and destroy

Human hearts, with your unfaithful complexion.

You old rotten green egg!

All my old negative beliefs are triggered forever.

Therapy? Meditation? Positive community?

These are now medicine for a soul with strong despressive emotions.

Keep away from green goblins and steer clear of such follies!
