their life

By Maria coletPublished 3 days ago 1 min read

Oh, people poor without freedom, joy denied,

We hear the bombs, the cries that pierce the sky,

Endless war, a life where rights are divided,

Day and night, in fear they live, both low and high.

Hope for peace, yet hardship does endure,

Yes, this is life amidst the strife,

In conflict's midst, where tortures cruelly lure,

Yet hope persists for a better life.
