Great-aunt

My mother had a great aunt

and to me mother always said:

a great aunt is much more than a grandmother

and certainly she is much more than an aunt.

Aunt is aunt. And that's enough: she's just an aunt.

And even the grandmother is just a grandmother.

If being an aunt is good, this grandmother

multiply such joy by three;

because in addition to being the aunt of that niece

she is a mother's aunt or an aunt.

If a grandmother's true love

it is much bigger than all fantasy

who she thinks she loves; and if the baby

The biggest one in the world is the aunt's,

how big would she be

to be the heart – just tell me –

of that grandmother who is both grandmother and aunt,

of that aunt who is a great-aunt?
