Granted

people who think they're privy to others

By Ria Published 6 years ago 1 min read

Her words are a double-edged sword

Sharp to the touch

But dull in meaning

Drawing blood

Wounding friend and foe

Her canary cry

Heard far and wide

When my cup doesn’t spill just for her

My lips sealed to her non-waiting ear

I am no necessity

But a commodity

Like her words

My presence is double-edged

Don’t take for granted that my lips are sealed

You’ve cried to me

And stabbed me in the back

The owls carry your words better

Be Careful what you cry

I know more truths

My lips won’t remain sealed
