Goodbye to What

verse 2

By Forest GreenPublished 3 months ago • 1 min read

I’m drafting the exit, I’m changing the locks

You belong in the trash right down by the docks

Your presence is toxic, your aura is gray

I’m praying to God that you fade right away

So keep walking away, yeah, keep shifting your gaze

You’re trapped in the maze of your narcissistic ways

I’m scrubbing my hands of the dirt that you brought

You’re nothing more now than a vanishing thought

Don’t trip on the curb as you step out my life

You cut way too deep with that dull plastic knife

I’m erasing the chapter, I’m ending the pain

And I hope I never, ever see your face again
