Every prayer I pray
swims upstream wearily
'gainst tides of disbelief.
God love me?
Are you kidding?
What a bizarre joke in this awful place
I find self wallowing today.
and yet I pray.
Stranger yet…
ah, stranger yet,
through the split in me
that believes two opposites
simultaneously,
I sense that He
has ears.
He hears. :)
