Glimmers

in parallel pace

By Michele NampalliPublished 4 months ago 1 min read

You.

***

inside my life

these sheets reverberated

a melody

deafening in its silence

asleep in ecru-

hollow cheekbones

***

my bones warmed

ligaments reaching at twilight

for you

yielding to your weathered hands

in parallel pace

***

I see them in glimmers

quiets the crushing tide inside

settle

into the soft ripples of my skin

exhale.

It is.

***

release comes in rivulets of liquid stars

traveling from my womb

to pale gray eyelids

gushing - once alive

dripping

wet

***

open

***

stargazing on ceilings

my ankles cuffed in pearls

sighing

deep

***

waiting for you to c a t c h

breath.

About the Creator

Michele Nampalli

This space is breath for my sensitivity. The poems come fully formed. I've known for quite some time now that my art is about receiving more than creation...its the most natural way I know to process my inner world. It started when I was 7.
