Glass

And a poem about desire

I am caught in the haze of you,

The delicate thorns of borealis

Swirling around you like magic.

.

I am addicted to conceptualizing.

.

There is a drug in your gaze,

In eyes I have not yet met that

Will tear me apart, bone from flesh.

.

And I crave the destruction of you.

.

What can those broad hands do

To the finely sewn seams of my life

When they are intent on feasting?

.

I want you to feast on my words.

.

Hours pour between us, hot and needy,

Shifting into excessively thin glass

That aches to turn back to dust.

.

Carve me open with your touch.
