of love

I thought about

Michael

fondly,

viscerally—

could see him,

hear his voice,

feel his hands.

I let the music flow

through me,

like we always did.

It was or-

gasmically

surreal, being

in two places

and times,

the night

deepening

all around me.

That high-pitched

buzzing

in my ears

silenced

for a moment

while I

disappear.
