Getting Tired of the Rat Race

Moving my life forward with Amazing Grace

Scratching for this

Scrambling for that

Want to hit the clock with a baseball bat

Boss said be there by nine

I said: “Yes sir”

Slavery time

Scratching for this

Scrambling for that

Want to hit the clock with a baseball bat

Boss said be there by nine

I said:” Yes sir”

Slavery time

Getting Tired of the Rat Race

Moving my life forward with Amazing Grace.

I feel like Minnie Mouse running around looking for cheese

Begging the good Lord to help you please

7:00-3:30 or 9:00-5:00

Churning and yearning just to stay alive

Working and slaving 5, 6, 7 days a week

Dimes for overtime no fun, friends, or family.

From slavery in the fields

To big time companies.

Dollars and benefits if you're lucky, but: "Are you really free?"

30 plus years lying and dying inside

Smiling but crying going along for the ride

God blessed us all with talents and gifts

Put them into action, your spirit will uplift.

No more scratching for this

Or scrambling for that

Ideas, actions with words

Dream, reality and facts

Breaking free from the Rat Race

Working without limits with Amazing Grace
