I spend hours carefully gathering my thoughts before we speak. Determined to articulate my feelings so precisely, you cannot twist them into confusion and doubt.
But your determination is louder than mine.
And your words press themselves against my temples as loaded as a gun. Designed to make me rethink my entire worthless existence.
Every conversation leaves me on my knees, wishing that you'd pull the trigger.
Instead, you take my hand and help me to my feet.
And all I can do is nod while you explain to me why I should be grateful that you didn't.
