Game Over

An Educational End of Story

By Amos GladePublished 2 years ago 1 min read

You’ve made a choice,

You’ve played a game,

You bought a prairie schooner.

Every single choice you’ve made

Brought your death a little sooner.

Escaping Independence,

For tiny bit resplendence,

Your pace was set to grueling

As you started on your path.

Exhaustion wasn’t fooling,

Snake bites showed their wrath;

The banker drowned,

The farmer starved,

Your family got the measles.

You even hopped a ferry

To escape some of these evils.

You shot a bear,

You braved the snow,

You never dared to tarry.

In the end

You’re made aware

You’ve died of dysentery.
