GALAxY: A Poem

A Short, Free Verse Poem About a Lover

You are a galaxy

You contain every grieving planet

And infatuated moon in which it revolves

You're made up of many things

And I am one out of the billion stars that you possess

I am a dull star

Even in the clearest of night skies

Yet you seem to find the the most phosphorescent of lights in me

And in that

You've created a supernova of my entirety

A great explosion of ecstasy, vigilance, and admiration

A new being

A creature in undivided serenity

You say you love me,

And constellations do not hide in your eyes

Your hands, your lips give comfort

You kiss my forehead,

You wipe my tears,

And it calms the earth in me
