Slimy muddy slithering grub,
Earthworms freshly dug from the mud.
No exoskeleton, smooth and soft to touch,
High in iron and protein, why not try them for lunch.
I bite and chew hope I don't get a tapeworm,
Speaking of tapes, it was recoded but deleted.
Its taste is acrid and bitter but I persevere,
If this is the future of food, then I'll dig up some more.
Rather eat a burger or fries or pizza,
But insane food costs would not me to deter,
To forage grub from down under
my backyard.
Just remember to drink vinegar after,
To prevent any parasite that might transfer.

I'm currently sipping some warm peppermint tea because my throat is sore.

Worms are filled with protein, birds eat them and we eat birds. At least when the boys shot them down back home. Tastes like chicken. Good one Sid.
