Fuchsia/Фуксия/Fuksiya
A bilingual colour poem in English and Russian. The Russian version of this poem will be written with both Roman and Cyrillic letters.
In English:
Fuchsia smells like
newly washed, perfumed roses
that stand on top
of the nightstand.
Fuchsia looks like
a long, flowing, bewitching, fashionable sequin hot pink strapless dress
that falls to your ankles.
Fuchsia feels like
a tiny spray
of fragrant, revitalizing geranium oil
on your smooth hands.
Fuchsia tastes like
a gigantic bowl
of toothsome, fruity, exotic, and luscious
dragonfruit sorbet.
Fuchsia sounds like
a jazzy and mellow song
sung by
your talented loved one.
In Russian (with Cyrillic letters):
Фуксия пахнет как
свежевымытый, ароматные розы
которые стоят на вершине
тумбочки.
Фуксия выглядит как
длинное, струящееся, чарующее,
модное ярко-розовое платье без бретелек с палетками
что падает до щикотолок.
Фуксия похожа на
крошечный спрей
ароматного восстанавливающего масла герани
на твоих гладких руках.
Фуксия на вкус как
гигантская миска фруктовый, экзотический и сочный
сорбет из драконьего фрукта.
Фуксия звучит как
джазовая и спокойная песня
в исполнении
твой талантлывый любимый человек.
In Russian (with English letters):
Fuksiya pakhnet kak
svezhevymytyi, aromatnye rosy
kotorye stoyat na vershine
tumbochki.
Fuksiya vyglyadit kak
dlinnoye, ctruyascheesya, charuyuscheye,
modnoye yarko-rosovoye plat'ye bez bretelek s paletkami
chto padayet do schikolotok.
Fuksiya pokhozha na
kroshechnyi sprei
aromatnovo vosstanavlivayuschevo masla gerani
na tvoikh gladikh rukakh.
Fuksiya na vkus kak
gigantskaya miska fruktovyi, ekzoticheskii i sochnyi
sorbyet is drakon'evo frukta.
Fuksiya zvuchit kak
djazovaya i spakoinaya pesnya
v ispolnenii
tvoi talantlivyi lyubimyi chelovek.
