From the greatest heights

Inspiration? Poignant? It doesn't stop it being true.

Rain down, come

Rain down, your misery

Pour down, come

Pour down, your sorrow

From the greatest height

To the greatest depths

Bleed out, come

Bleed out, your pain

Drain out, come

Drain out, your suffering

From the greatest heights

To the greatest depths

-

one for love, two for sorrow

It will get better, better tomorrow

Thanks for reading!

Author's Notes: This is in part inspired by two of my favourite songs from the 90s - Only Happy When It Rains by Garbage and Paranoid Android by Radiohead.

Along with a recent favourite One For Sorrow by Insomnium:

Hope you liked it. It's a little on the sad side. I am not sad now, but was when I was writing it.

Not to be a pessimist or contrarian, but are you sure?

Ooh can see the Radiohead influence. Love how this felt like a song and your word choices are perfect for a soft, rounded impact. Just gorgeous, and yes, poignant, but mostly uplifting. 💜

  • But will it Paul? Will it? Will it get better? Answer me Paul. Answer meeeeeee 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Loved your poem 🍩🥐

Nice work..better days for everyone, I hope. Such classic songs man!.. I need to listen to some more garbage again. Use to love a bunch of their songs, so thanks for this reminder. Haven’t heard one for sorrow before. Hope you had a fun weekend swimming in your pool of cash! 😁 Good to see you back raring to go lol!
