From the Ashes I've Become

The Phoneix

By Brooke CoffellPublished 9 years ago • 1 min read

"Just when you think you've burnt me to the ground, I will put myself back together from the ashes I've become...

I will never trust my heart in another's hands, unless they're my own. Maybe you can break through to my heart? But you see, sometimes it's hard as stone..

I love to let go, I let go to love. Only I allow myself to break this heart, it's always been this way. I'll only let the ones in who never intend to stay...

So please, be aware when I tell you this; My soul is not simple, my heart is heavy, my eyes seek magic and my head is obsessed with pain. But in the midst of it all, I just want someone to break through and teach me love isn't always vain..."
