From Rags To Riches

He gave her a happy ever after ending

From Rags To Riches

She sang for pennies on crowded streets.

Her voice was lost, still she felt the beat

Dreams of stages, lights so bright,

it seems all she knew was fading night.

The streets were harsh, the air was cold

Her dreams felt worn, her heart grown old

surprise, in he came with eyes so kind

He saw the fire, the voice behind

“You’ve got the soul,” he said with grace

“I’ll help you find your rightful place”

He didn’t care for fame or gold

Just the music she had to unfold

With him, she sang again, her voice a spark

Her heart now light, no longer dark

He didn’t need to speak in rhyme

He knew her rhythm.

Its now her time to shine.

She stands now on stages bright

Her voice lifts high, her future alight

From rags to riches, yes, it’s true

But what she found was something new

It wasn’t fame, or silver, or gold

It was the faith he dared to hold

In her, in dreams, in what she’d be

A singer, finally, loved and free.
