I remember you from High School and the Jacket you wore everyday.

I’d giggle with my best friend and when I caught your attention, I quickly looked away.

You rescued me more than once, you were my hero and eventually my hearts doom.

And it all started with one look across the room.

Years later we hung out in the same circle and I considered you a friend.

But sadly that quickly would come to an end.

At that time I almost let you have the best of me.

But I was nervous and had my reservations even being young and carefree.

I never thought you’d be there to rescue me again and become my hearts doom.

To think it started from a look while I was sitting in a high school classroom!

Twenty something years later you came again to save the day!

And in your bed I gave you all of me and I loved the safety I felt in your arms as I lay.

Your demeanor soon changed and your true colors and evil intentions started to show.

Sadly after all these years from a high school boy, now a man you did not emotionally and mentally grow!

After the last outburst and scene I allowed you to make,

I promised myself that's the last time my heart will break!

I am now over being sad, no more depression and gloom.

And I’ll always remember the last look you gave me when I left you- from across the room...
