I fell in love at first sight

The room abounds with familiars and strangers.

Yet to me she remains the only face I'm able to see.

The future is uncertain, yet with her by my side,

I know I’ll be able to overcome any difficulty.

Seasons of our lives bring change and newness,

like a newborn's arrival into this wonderful world.

This was mine.

From across the room, I caught sight of her,

Her fine hair cascades down, perfectly framing her face like a flowing waterfall.

Her voice, effortless and soothing, drawing me closer to her, like the steady beating of a heart.

From across the room my heart skipped a beat as we locked eyes.

Her bright eyes, a tranquil pool of purist gold, inspiring imagination and delight.

I was in love with her at first sight.

Her lips, softly pale, a garden of new life containing a blossoming flower of touch.

Her cheeks, well-tamed and ever-present, show a determination and hopeful glow.

She was the newness this season brought, and In my heart, I knew she was special.

Though no words were spoken or awkward moments passed between us yet, it felt like I had known her forever.

I keep watching her, she is where I will always return to. For she is my reason to live, my sweet Lily.

From across the room I fell in love with her.
