In the tapestry of life, as we grow old,

Friendships evolve, their stories told.

Gone are the days of constant chatter,

Now we cherish the bonds that matter.

For as we age, we come to see,

The value of friendships that let us be.

No longer seeking constant validation,

But finding solace in shared admiration.

Low maintenance friendships, a precious find,

Like treasures hidden, one of a kind.

They don't demand constant attention,

But offer support without hesitation.

They understand the ebb and flow,

Of busy lives and trials we know.

No rain checks needed, no urgency,

Just the comfort of mutual currency.

In these friendships, there's no strain,

No need to explain, no need to feign.

They're a refuge from life's stormy weather,

A haven where we can be together.

For friendship, at its core, should be,

A source of joy and light, carefree.

A place where we can laugh and play,

And chase our worries far away.

So here's to the low maintenance bonds,

That weather time and life's beyonds.

For in their simplicity, we find,

The true essence of friendship, one of a kind.
