The thought of running
Is always held close
To my heart.
It keeps my head
Higher than I'd like,
If I'm honest.
I've dreamt of leaving
More times than I've breathed.
More times than the sun
Has passed this wretched sky
And smiled down like the things it sees
Will end up
Just fine.
And when I'm free I'm
With you.
I end up seeing
All those little things
That you can't see.
All the things that cause
Me to smile.
My emotion, my outlet.
My freedom, my choice.
