The Foxes
We must take them now!
Into the forest!
We hope to deceive them soon.
Until we are sure,
We wait to move.
You and I are the same,
Our hearts racing,
Our breathing low.
The time is now,
We need to keep to the shadows.
The rustles are enemies,
The sticks breaking, a deafening sound.
Keep footsteps light,
Stay near the ground.
We must make our way -
Shhhhh…
They are coming.
We can’t be found.
Here, hide here,
Keep your head down,
Listen for their sounds,
The strike soon comes.
They’ll come from the behind the trees,
“I’ve found you now.”
The Hounds
