Your name is how I spell love
Every time the word enters my mind
you're right there with it
trapped inside a four-letter word that I cannot escape

When I see two lips meet
In my mind I see you and I
feel you
how could this bring tears to my eyes

The absurdity that in moments where I remember your eyes
I forget all else
I forget every word you've said
I only feel

Lost in you
Oh
Vibrant eyes
Everlasting soul, intertwined with mine

When I say you're always present in my heart
I no longer say it with joy in my mind
Stripped away from me
Everything ripped away from me
Somethings left in the shadows...
sadness, sprinkled with anger that I allowed myself to trust

Your 3 little words that you love to say
I miss you
Have done so many things to me
the first: shock
the second: well, of course...
the third: tears that wouldn't go away

Maybe you thought you could escape me
but
The further you go
the more of my name
your mind will know

The splash of an ocean wave carries my tears and sweat
The fire that dances in your eyes; my spirit
the smell of your favorite tree is my skin
I am clothed with the greens that bring you serenity

You'll second guess when you see long blonde hair
fluttering in the breeze
and your heart will wish that it was me
standing beside you on the cliffs edge

Death and decay
The shortening of the day
the echo of the cold air
in the dead still of night;
it is you who will wake up screaming
that you lost me
it is your nightmare that you will remember
my name
my name
my eyes
my hair
my skin
my touch
my smell
my hair
my name
my name
my name

And I
will lay peacefully
in my heated queen-sized bed
with one kitty at my feet
and the other at my head
