Forgiveness

A Poem

By Angel AdagioPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

I dread looking at your face, when you know the hurt you put me through,

seeing me as though I am all complete

but underneath

I hold the damage you created

from making me your weapon.

Seeing you sends the flashbacks again of everything I can't remember on my own,

my mind protects me

while you continue to rip me apart with your existence.

My heart and mind are hurt

angry at you

wishing you the pain you put me through

and seeing if you would come out unscathed.

See if you enjoy being my weapon for once

and if you could handle the burning flames that will eventually sharpen you.

Does that make me heartless?

For not finding the ways to forgive and let you back in again?

Reverse the roles,

would you have forgiveness for me?
