Forgiveness

In the course of life, we will get hurt. How we respond will show our worth. When life hits us, we might eat dirt! We must recover when knocked down. facing life's storms, we must not drown. Those who do rise will wear a crown. To rise above we must forgive. Resentfulness is no way to live. True peace is to accept what is. We must learn to forgive ourselves. Not to do so is to live a hell. Our rest will come when deep we delve. Forgiving those who aren't our own, our heart will find peace, we'll have a home. forgive yourself when you're alone. Some may say forgiveness is weak. Those who say this ought, dare not speak. From true forgiving we will peak! Sincere forgiveness makes us strong. We have the power to fix what's wrong. Rejoice with truth & sing our song!

Our forgiveness some will reject. They resent themselves I suspect. From such people our hearts protect. Don't stop forgiving each other. We must learn to love our brother. Sailing safely with a rudder. Forgiveness empowers our voice! We show character with our choice. Free from regret we can rejoice! Sometimes we can't control our anger. this can be life's greatest danger. We must not blow up on strangers. Forgiving much we may feel drained. Sharing our heart can feel like pain, yet true forgiveness keeps us sane. Truth is we hurt those we love most. If unaware we start to coast. Unforgiveness can be no boast. What we give out we do receive. Having mercy, we find reprieve. We gain more than we may perceive. To forgive they say is divine. The truth is we will heal with time. Free from anger we'll feel sublime!
