Amidst the chaos of battle and strife,

Two warriors fought with all their might.

Their swords clashed and shields rang out,

As they struggled through the night.

*

One fought for honor, one for pride,

Their hatred burning bright.

Neither could see the other's view,

Locked in an endless fight.

*

But then, as the dawn began to break,

They saw the devastation they'd wrought.

Their once-beautiful land, now in ruins,

And all for naught.

*

As they stood amid the destruction,

Their anger slowly faded away.

And they saw each other as human beings,

Instead of enemies at bay.

*

They spoke of peace, of hope, of love,

And how their differences could be overcome.

Together, they could rebuild their land,

And live in harmony as one.

*

So they put down their swords, and embraced,

As tears of joy streamed down their face.

And they vowed to never let war break them apart,

But instead, to choose love, and start anew with heart.

*

For in the end, it's not the battles won,

Or the enemies vanquished in a fight.

It's the bonds of peace and friendship formed,

That will forever shine so bright.
