Tall trees that reach for the sky,
Green leaves rustling, a symphony sigh.
Birds singing, insects buzzing,
Nature's symphony, forever humming.
Shafts of light filtering through,
A dappled canopy of green and blue.
Rivers running, wildflowers bloom,
Nature's beauty in its full resume.
Forests, a haven for all,
A sanctuary for great and small.
A home for creatures great and small,
A place for them to stand tall.
But as we take and take and take,
These forests begin to shake.
Let us remember our role,
To nurture and protect, to make whole.
So let us tread lightly on the earth,
And protect these forests since our birth.
For they are the lungs of the land,
Giving us life, and a future grand.
