Forbidden embraces

MAY ALSO BE HOME

We are locked in an enveloping, heart beating out of tune embrace

The calm and peace that emanates from the contact of our bodies

Are surreal and eternal.....never ending

And wrong!

But, who decides?

When wrong feels like a rare gift of nature

A gift that we do not hurry to unwrap

To face the raw and awful truth

The real, real

Your destiny may not be intertwined with mine

It is for us but a fleeting moment of time

The universe toys with us

Gives us the gift of home in our embrace

Such peace and belonging

Together, so real

But secretly mocks us for our folly

For we must each go our separate ways

When finally we rip ourselves apart from this embrace

Wonderful fulfilling embrace

Is this what they color love?

The feeling of home in someone's protective arms

Come back!, Don't go.

But you must.

You return to me.

Embrace me.

Then purposefully you stride away

Not looking back

Because if you do

You may stay.

That 'ole' devil

Teasing, toying

Joining us together

Ripping us asunder.

We dance the dance

Sing the tune

And remember the melody

Waiting for the lead

Into our tomorrow

And home.

Home is in the enveloping embraces of the ones who

Make you feel alive and loved

May it be fleeting or long lasting

Enjoy the ecstasy.
