For you my Love
A Poem by Syed Omar Hussain
For you, my heart holds desires untold,
In tears, my life's tale has been foretold.
My heart exclaims, "Look at me, I beseech,
My heart exclaims, "Look at you, I entreat."
In your love, I am lost, a crazed devotee,
For you, my heart holds dreams abundantly.
In the endless skies of my wandering soul,
The footprints of my heart have become whole.
Seeking your presence, I search within,
Searching for your sign, my heart does begin.
My heart exclaims, "Look at me, I beseech,
My heart exclaims, "Look at you, I entreat."
My life has passed in shadows and gloom,
Washed away are the marks of my heart's bloom.
In mirrors, I search for a glimpse of you,
On shores, I find solace in your view.
My heart exclaims, "Look at me, I beseech,
My heart exclaims, "Look at you, I entreat."
My life has passed amidst disdain and strife,
Faded away are the imprints of my heart's life.
In tears, my life's tale has been foretold,
For you, my heart holds desires untold.
