For the Pick Me girls

A poem

“I’m not like other girls,”

Oh please, just please shut up,

We get it, you don’t wear makeup,

You don’t care about trends,

You don’t try to fit in,

But have you thought maybe…

Maybe there are others like you?

Did you know that you’re not the only one who hates makeup?

Did you know that other girls are into sports and still aren’t one of the boys?

It’s totally okay to be in love with pink and not be in love with high heels,

You don't cook for your man, good for you, why should that be highly praised?

What's wrong with cooking for men who want to feel appreciated?

Ladies, if your man makes you smile, make him smile with a delicious dinner, or in any other way.

And yes, we put effort into our appearance, why shame us for that?

You put effort into getting guys to approve of you,

Just because a guy says hi to you, doesn't mean he's into you,

Why don't you say girls are into you when they say hi?

Stop saying girls are so dramatic; girls and the rest of the world have this thing called feelings,

Are you gonna cuddle a guy who lost in some dumb video game, but make fun of a girl who doesn't like when other girls seek attention from her boyfriend?

Ignore the pick-me girls, and embrace yourself.
