Your essence here - in this room

Cadence and cursive

Rhythmic stutters

Volcano laughs

Orbs and pulsing waves.

A breath of cold air

Crimson smooth

and nourishing

Like sparkles in the dark.

There might be no one like you.

You might just be the most electric

Magnetic

Frantic

Collective

Of Protected Characteristics and

How could they miss this!?

You’re beautiful.

All light, white wine lips and fidgeting hands.

Fragile in your potency

A sort of messy - elegance

Both stuck and constantly moving

Layers upon layers of hilltops and deep forest

a cavernous soul.

It doesn’t matter if they’re watching

Or if they see you, really,

I do.

And I know you’re having the best time.

A one-glance check in

And I know if it’s time to go,

Or let them know

You.

And have they earned that?

Are they kind?

And ‘our’ kind of people?

I wish you could see you as I do

I wish

you knew you, if I’m honest,

Because, I tell you what, you’d be jealous of me.

That I get to be your friend.

Shared spaces where we riff and soar

Kindness embedded in all corners

Memories that float through the milky smoke of ‘almosts’ and ‘not quites…’

A Venus fly trap home

Secret meetings and pocketed moments

Like sparkles in the dark.

Late nights turn into new mornings.

You have another shot,

Get loud and scrappy with it -

That’s the spirit!

Limbs moving how they were designed to,

Honey tequila in your veins.

Rooms of generators:

Our kinds of people

Energetic, artistic and giving,

Just for now, no vacuums allowed

You look around,

Animated and colourful.

Belly full of fun facts and taco dinners,

Sticky ‘floor work’ and discarded shoes.

Freckled impulses and blurred edges of drop-to-the-floor funny

Like sparkles in the dark.

Let’s never leave these rooms.

Let’s always give ourselves a place here.

Deal?
