Foolish Heart

A love that's strong

A foolish heart, so quick to race,

Chasing dreams in empty space.

It leaps too high, it falls too far,

Grasping at each distant star.

It whispers secrets, soft, untrue,

Believing all it wants to view.

A fleeting touch, a fleeting sigh,

It holds them close, afraid to try.

It wears its scars like shiny gold,

Not learning from the tales it’s told.

A stubborn soul, a tender beat,

It longs for love, but won't retreat.

It dances in the dark alone,

And never sees the cracks it’s grown.

But still, it hopes, it aches, it yearns—

For a world that it can never learn.

A foolish heart, a fragile thing,

Caught in the dance of reckless wings.

Yet still, it flies—no matter how,

For it believes in love somehow.
