Folly
For you to feel as you feel right

Every petal has a story,
A story it wants to tell.
Every flower has a value
Too precious that to sell.
From budding green it seeks to fight
For sun and water and greatest height.
Towering friends to reach its might
To reign alone in darkest plight.
Day to day it breeds its gloom
Leading friends to impending doom
Unknown actions from internal form
For petals to droop in stupor forlorn.
All this work to reach so high
Only to get clipped for the human eye
Ripped from grace for one brief thrill
In that time to remember those it did kill.
Is to rise the worth of a petty fool
Or is it best to remember all?
When growing together will keep us one
For a better story when life is done.
